Solar Ingress in Scorpio 2026: The Breaks

The Sun entered Scorpio on October 23, 2026, opening a season of revelations. This reading explores the ingress chart’s themes of wealth, hidden agreements, protection, and preparation.

On October 23, 2026, at 5:38 AM ET, the Sun ingressed into Scorpio, a fixed water sign. This time period begins a cycle of pearl-clutching revelations. Scorpio is the sign of the underworld, ruled by Pluto, covering energies and topics like death, past lives, rebirth and reincarnation, inheritances, ancestors, secrets, esoteric knowledge, sex, and anything taboo. Scorpio also covers war, as its ancient ruler is Mars. This season, however, is marked by a smoldering-hot Venus, who has mastered the art of war on her own terms.

Walk with me through the quadrants of this chart, and let what resonates guide your reflection. What doesn’t fit your path can simply be set aside. Remember that this is an intuitive interpretation of energy, and things can play out many different ways, on many different timelines, or simply not at all. We are all masters of our own free will.

Some of the themes you read here are quite alarming, but this is the nature of Scorpio. This is a period of revelations more than anything else, so allowing Scorpio’s intuitive and investigative nature to reveal what may be happening behind the scenes would be a sage course of action.

The Ascendant

The chart for the 2026 Solar Ingress in Scorpio begins with a Libra ascendant, filtering the energies of this transit through the lens of justice, beauty, love, harmony, partnerships, and wealth. When we think of wealth, those are the main ingredients. We want to experience a level of peace as we indulge ourselves in the finer things life has to offer. From the financial perspective, this season reveals what some will actually do to experience this wealth. The first through third houses suggest that unethical cash grabs may be at the heart of this energy.

The Sun is conjunct Venus at the time of the ingress, and forms an exact conjunction on the same day at 11:55 PM ET, also known as a cazimi, just before Venus retrogrades back into Libra on October 25, 2026. Nestled together between fixed star Spica, at approximately 24° Libra, and Fortuna, which stands merely one minute behind the 4° threshold of the second house in Scorpio, this reads as if someone is hiding something behind their back or, as Venus would suggest, behind a well-constructed persona. Before we dissect the second-house themes, know that Minerva, Roman Goddess of Justice, Wisdom, and Strategic Warfare, is just across the threshold of the third house, guarding the back door.

In the second house of this chart, at 20 and 28 degrees Scorpio, lie Mercury and Kuber. Mercury is the Roman God of Commerce, Financial Gain, Communication, Travel, and Boundaries. He is also known to be quite the trickster, a messenger of the gods who guides souls to the underworld. Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo, which govern the third and sixth houses, respectively. Kuber, or Lord Kubera, the Hindu God of Wealth, Treasurer of the Gods, Protector of the World, King of the Yakshas, Builder of Lavish Cities, formerly known as the Chief of Evil Spirits and a trickster. These two, conjunct in a Scorpio second house, suggest plans are being laid.

The full conjunction spanning from Spica, a fixed star representing an ear of wheat in Virgo’s hand, to the Sun, Venus, and Fortuna could reflect a dark conversation about possessions or large sums of money. Multiple scenarios are playing out in the collective right now: a heist or armed robbery; a well-planned divorce with assets carefully hidden so they are not considered in the proceedings; fraud or inheritance stemming from elder abuse; planned market crashes; land grabs; and even someone cleaning up at a casino, challenging the theory that the house always wins.

Minerva, standing at the threshold of the third house at 6° in the Jupiter decan of Sagittarius, is observing it all, crafting the perfect plan. Tyche, Greek Goddess of Wealth, Fortune, and the Fate of Cities, is conjunct the Galactic Center, exploring the vast amount of possibilities available in this critical moment. This feels like someone peering into a wishing well, like a cat fishing for koi, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. The third house suggests that though there are backdoor conversations happening, not everyone will be oblivious to the plans.

The themes are quite dark here, but the beauty of universal energies is that there’s always a higher expression of them. Somewhere, instead of a heist, there’s a valuable insight being passed along. This energy is perfect for aligning with a long-term mentor or spiritual guide. There’s a lot of money on the table. Libra is well-studied and ambitious, and Scorpio is deep and methodical, a true strategist. Just as one may find themselves in a sticky situation, another may be finding themselves set on the exact path they’ve been calling in.

The Imum Coeli

The Imum Coeli (IC), the most intimate part of a chart, represents the inner world and foundations of life, marking the threshold of the fourth house, which represents the home, the mother, and early childhood. It is at 8° Capricorn. In this collective wealth reading, the IC can represent the nation, any form of government within a nation, any form of business, or residential buildings, especially elder care facilities.

Asteroid Mony, which represents money in every aspect, is in a tight conjunction with the IC at 9°, squaring the Libra ascendant and Saturn in the seventh house at 9° Aries. This symbolizes a deep-rooted financial conflict or instability that needs to be balanced, but it could be so complicated and systemic that it feels like only conflict can resolve it.

Asteroid Juno, representing the Roman Queen of the Gods, Jupiter’s wife, and the protector of women, children, and Rome, is at 29° Capricorn, conjunct Pluto at 3° Aquarius. The Statue of Liberty comes to mind here, and the conflict really feels like a planned stock market crash. Juno conjunct Pluto also symbolizes broken contracts, even a broken contract with the concept of an entire nation.

While this concept, at its core, is only an intuitive speculation, the United States is experiencing a Uranus return, with transit Uranus roughly 3° from its natal Uranus. With Pluto in Aquarius trine transit Uranus in Gemini in the eighth house of this Scorpio season chart, breaking this type of contract could trigger an immensely incalculable reaction. Global protests and political unrest could be the result of a contract already broken, or a foreshadowing of a larger event.

Uranus, the primordial Greek God of heaven, was not celebrated nor venerated. He was a very jealous father who cast his offspring into the depths of the earth for fear of being overthrown. Eventually, with the help of his wife Gaea, he was defeated by his son Cronus, whom the Romans call Saturn. According to legend, Gaea created a sickle from stone and instructed Cronus to attack Uranus while he slept.

At this moment, Uranus is also sextile and quintile Neptune and the Moon, conjunct in the sixth house in Aries and Pisces, respectively. This feels like something being made to appear routine and minimal in an effort to deliberately deceive the other party—not necessarily a political party, but any entities, representatives, or individuals. The North Node in the fifth house suggests a high-risk, make-it-or-break-it gamble being made. You have to play to win.

The Descendant

In this chart, the descendant sits at 7° Aries, with Neptune retrograde in Aries in the sixth house, and Pallas Athena conjunct Saturn in the seventh house. This reinforces the diplomatic deception. Vesta, the eternal flame; the Vertex, a major turning point; and Chiron, the wounded healer, are all conjunct in Aries in the seventh house. This energy reflects a similarity to the moment Achilles’ heel was struck by an arrow.

Achilles, the famed warrior trained by Chiron and demi-god of Homer’s Iliad, went mad when his lover Patroclus, while posing as Achilles, was slain by the Trojan Prince Hector during the Trojan War. The thing about this story is that just before this incident, there was a dispute between Achilles and the Greek commander Agamemnon regarding Achilles’ war prize and wife-to-be, Briseis. This dispute caused Achilles to withdraw from the Trojan War at a critical point. Patroclus, feeling that Achilles was being too stubborn about his woman being stolen by the general, decided to take matters into his own hands, and that’s when the incident—a great example of a Vertex situation—occurred.

The details of this story are important because, out of all the moving parts, Patroclus was Achilles’ true love, and the loss of him drove Achilles to totally exhaust himself on a war path. Agamemnon stealing Achilles’ future wife was nothing compared with his loss of Patroclus. Briseis was for decoration. In his relentless rage, Achilles was not satisfied until he dragged Prince Hector behind his chariot for all to see. In the story, Prince Paris, Hector’s younger brother, delivers the final blow that ends Achilles.

The arrow, this time, is coming from Minerva at 6° Sagittarius, square Chiron in Aries. Minerva is rooted in justice, wisdom, and protection, and is quite compatible with Sagittarius energy because it carries a very similar frequency. She has observed her target long enough to be confident in the long shot, even with a new weapon. Being the mutable sign of Sagittarius, in a house ruled by Mercury, gave Minerva a new perspective and new tools to aid her in enacting her plans and delivering justice. Uranus rules technology, just as he does “The Breaks” (Kurtis Blow, 1980). His distance and opposition demanded Minerva’s use of the Sagittarian bow and arrow.

In the eighth house, ruled by Mars, Pluto, and Scorpio, amongst Uranus and in opposition to Minerva, lies the Part of Fortune conjunct asteroid Banks in Taurus. Banks is square Jupiter in Leo and opposing Mercury in Scorpio. The Part of Fortune is square Mars in Leo in the eleventh house, which is co-ruled by Saturn and Uranus. These placements and aspects signify a major announcement that changes everything. This could mean a total market collapse for the U.S. economy, close to what we saw during the Great Recession, with similar elements such as the housing bubble, stock market, and banking collapse. The chart itself is in the shape of a megaphone.

The Medium Coeli

The Medium Coeli (MC) represents legacy and reputation, as well as one’s profession or social status. This solar ingress in Scorpio has a Cancer MC, highlighting the need for security. Asteroid Ceres is in Cancer in the tenth house at 21°, loosely conjunct tenth-house Midas in Leo at 0°. Ceres is the Roman goddess of Agriculture and Maternal Relationships. Remember Spica in the first house, conjunct the Sun, holding grain in her hand? This is why: she is urging you to stock up and prepare your safety net. Considering she is the Goddess of the Harvest, placed in a water sign, I would wager that food and water are essential to have on hand.

For what it’s worth, Ceres is the daughter of Saturn (Cronus in Greek mythology), and she bears a sickle as well. Since we are in the tenth house, it is pertinent to note that the greatest example of the difference between a matriarchy and a patriarchy is the difference between how Cronus and Ceres use a sickle. Ceres uses hers to harvest, and Cronus used his to swindle himself a spot at the top of the food chain. Cronus promised Gaea to free his siblings, but left them in Tartarus for the same reason his father cast them down in the first place. Saturn rules the tenth house. He is the lord of karma. Ceres is not only showing the difference between her and her father, but she is also highlighting Midas’ greed. Midas is the king who turned his own daughter into gold.

In the eleventh house, the asteroid Abundantia, representing the Roman Goddess of Prosperity and Abundance, often depicted holding a cornucopia full of grain, fruits, and gold coins, is at 13° Leo, conjunct Mars in Leo at 14° and Jupiter at 23°. Jupiter is conjunct the fixed star Regulus, the King Maker, and the South Node at 28° Leo. Farmers stand a chance to make a major comeback if things really go south. For the average person, getting a greenhouse together and a small chest of seeds could do wonders in a tough situation. For some, these are the most auspicious conditions they will see in their lifetimes, if they apply their power wisely.

Conclusion

In conclusion, this reading reminds me of videos on Instagram where one person is looking around at people hurting themselves in different scenarios, whereas there are many different ways this energy will play out. The major themes here are sudden shifts, some extremely smart women stepping up to the plate, some incredible financial opportunities, major betrayals, and wise preparation. There’s a need to be particularly aware of your surroundings and to watch your assets, as well as the assets of those whom you love or care for.
